Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Siena, Italy; Department of Medicine, Surgery and Neuroscience, Unit of Surgical Oncology.  Clinical and scientific activities have been particularly dedicated to Surgical Oncology, in particular to gastric cancer.  Studies on clinical utility of serum tumor markers, extended lymphadenectomy, prognostic factors and translational research for gastric cancer are particularly relevant.
