Dr. Epstein is a Professor of Pathology, Urology, and Oncology at The Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. He is the past President of the International Society of Urological Pathology (ISUP) & one of the founding members of the Genitourinary Pathology Society (GUPS).  Dr. Epstein has 970 publications, 68 book chapters, and 15 books. He has one of the largest surgical pathology consulting services in the world with approximately 12,000 cases per year. He has lectured 407 times outside of his institution including 42 different countries.
