Scientist of the Genomic Epidemiology Branch at the International Agency for Research on Cancer IARC-WHO in Lyon. Bachelor in science from the George Mason University, VA, US, trained as Molecular biologist in the University of Salamanca, Spain and as a Genomic Epidemiologist at the Institute Carlos II in Spain and later at IARC. Long-term research interests involve the development of a comprehensive understanding of the genomic epidemiology of high prevalent cancers including search for biomarkers of early detection, treatment response and outcome prediction.
