Graduate of Boston University School of Medicine and completed his surgical training at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.  He completed a surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center where he then joined the faculty in 1990.  He came to the Medical College of Wisconsin in January 2009.
